Dolls from "all around the world" to choose from!
The goal...
My desire is that these dolls will be a means of learning. Each doll is carefully hand-sewn with one-of-a-kind features to represent their homeland. They also come with a small card containing information about their country, traditions, and ways of life. My prayer is that this simple idea will help show the need for people to GO to these people groups and share the love of Christ! (Mark 16:15)

How it all started...
Hi! My name is Madeline Ussery, and I am a stay-at-home mama. I am a former missionary kid, and am currently a pastor's daughter, as well as a preacher's wife. I have always had a heart for missions and a burden for missionary families.
Recently, my family has been given an opportunity to do missions work in the Grenadine Islands alongside a missionary family. In order to raise funds for my trip, I was searching for ways to make money. I was inspired to display the different countries and cultures to raise awareness, and to educate on the different nationalities of people that some have never heard about!
Why dolls?
I have been sewing since I was 10 years old. At the age of 7, my great, great-aunt made me a hand-sewn "Emily" style doll. I have kept that special doll all these years! Being in her mid 80's, my aunt can no longer make the dolls, so I asked for the pattern. She so graciously gave me the instructions with the materials to make my very own doll, and I have been making them for all the little girls in my family since!
Fast forward to the mission trip opportunity... I had been making dolls to sell, and my mom gave me the idea of making dolls of different nationalities, with their own unique names and stories. I absolutely fell in love with her brilliant idea, and this is how "International Girls" came to fruition!
